White Trash Date Night!!!

Well being that mama and daddy haven't had much time together, Baby David went with Grandma Margie to Rockwall for the night and mommy and daddy got to go out on a date! And BOYEEE HOWDY did we have a great time! The theme of our date was "Our White Trash Date"...We went to Denton and first had some really really good barbecue...And then just so happens...Right next door is a small black warehouse that was home to XCW Wrestling which in all honestly...Wasn't bad...But its a small time project...And plus it was bring your own "Beverages!" And in the end...It was a good time and boyee howdy was it a white trash hell of a good time!!!
This is the barbecue place where we went to have dinner before the "main event!" Great barbecue!

Really down home place with good people and great food! If I mention John Henry's...My people know what I"m talking about...It was totally John Henry's!!!!!!

This guy in the front row of the wrassling show had a grown out Mohawk and a beard that hung down to his chest...And yes that is a case of lone star beer...Remember I said it was bring your own beverages!!! Oh how creative these hillbillies can be!!! Maybe I shouldn't talk about those people like that....But look for yourself...What do you think?

As you can see...It was just a small little place with a concession stand that looks like something out of a high school basketball game...Hilarious! (The wrassling was pretty good if you ask me...)

Peek a Boo and Melba Toast

Michelle likes playing peek-a-boo with the baby and he has never had such a giggling fit before...Man was he just laughing his head off...And the camera just happened to be there!!!

We tried Melba Toast for the first time with Baby David...And goodness knows if you know anything about melba toast, the baby is practically wearing it on their body instead of having anything in their mouth or tummy. But is it just funny to watch....Oh man!

Like I was saying...The kid is practically wearing it!!!

Story Time with Mama and Baby David (and other pictures)

Counting monkies with mama!!! Watch David as he pats along with the rhythm of "Silly Monkies Jumping on the bed." And he does this night after night...He's so good!!!! And by the way...Honest...We laid him down after his story and he went right to sleep and woke up at 7 this morning!!! He slept all the way through the night! He's been doing that alot lately and we hope that it lasts a really long time! Mommy and Daddy like their ZZZZ's!

After swimming in Houston, it was time for a bath...Boy do I look good! Look at my milk belly!

Going to Houston!

Well we took a well needed trip to Houston to see everyone especially Great Grandma Josephine...What a great weekend! It was hot as all get out, but it was great to see everyone!!! Here are some pictures from the weekend...Enjoy!

Aunt Diana looks great! She got Lasik surgery and she's back to 100 percent 20/20 vision! She was in great spirits!

And Cousin Rosanna, aren't we both just the cutest!!! (There is something obviously good on television right now...;)

Cousin Ethan let me enjoy his snuggly bear's company for a time this weekend...And did I mention my hands taste wonderful!!!! ICKY NASTY HANDS!!! That's what mommy and daddy always say! Why do they say that???

I"m enjoying holding my head up...I"m also touching my feet...The next thing is sitting up and then hopefully getting a little bit more mobile day by day!!!

On the road to Houston...Or on the road back from houston...I can't tell...But I tell you this...The baby and Sarge are getting along quite nicely!!!



We got to borrow a pair of cousin Ethan's swim trunks which were as cute as can be...Speaking of cute...How about mama? She looks really pretty!



Ethan's the man! He was boogying down to the music!!! He's such an awesome little man!!!



After mama was complaining about Daddy's "fake smile" I wanted to show my true enthusiasm...And oh yeah...Isn't David the most cutest of the cutest ever???!!!

Two Words...HOLY COW!!!

Today was David's 4 month old check up today!!! Statistics - Length 26 1/4 inches...90th PERCENTILE OF HIS AGE GROUP!!! THAT"S AWESOMELY TALL!!! And he was 15 lbs. 10 oz. Which was normal...But as we all know...Things will slow down and speed up and I just hope that he's taller than his dad...Because Dad's short and shortness gets you nowhere in this world. And the doctor checked him out and he is doing so well! He was smiling at the doctor and giggling and then it was SHOTS time. He didn't cry for the first one but for the other three he was quite upset. But daddy hugged and kissed him and he cried for a total of about 2 minutes. That's it! He was done crying by the time we left the doctors office! He's such a good boy!!!



THERE'S MORE GOING ON TODAY!!!!



Lots of changes going on!!! There are 3 big things that we think make a great growing up story...#1.We have officially made the transition into all of his new 3-6 months clothes. We took all the newborn stuff and have placed it away either for "number two" or for donation...#2. We have finally taken out the bassanet part of the baby's bed, and now he is officially sleeping on the bottom. All the way down there...(Plenty of backache's to go around if you ask daddy)but its still another stepping stone, and even mama said it that the next thing you know, he's going to be sitting up and smiling at us when we come in to see him in the morning. #3. We used his bigboy high chair that Uncle Adam and Aunt Kelli sent to us for his baby shower. It works absolutely great and we really appreciate them getting us this great gift for David!!!

Man...Uncle Adam's and Aunt Kelli's chair is the best! Its the perfect height, angle, everything! We're having bananas for breakfast this morning! He loves bananas....BUT...We tried mashed Chicken tonight and it was atrocious!!!!OMG! So we had sweet sweet applesauce instead and he ate the whole jar!!!

This is post dinner...MAN...Chicken when prepared properly is good...But mashed chicken in chicken broth...AGHAGHAGHAGH!!!! But the applesauce made it all better!

Our pre-checkup nap...He did not want to get up to go to his check up!!! But when we got to the doctors office...It was time to eat so we had a bubba and he woke up right away! The doctors love him!

After our morning bottle and some one on one time with mommy and daddy...We need to work on motor skills, so we had some time in the activity center playing with our Zeeba and Lion and we work on communicating!!! Of course Sarge gets in on the act and puts on a show of his own...Please remember....IF YOU HAVEN"T SEEN IT>>>>>THIS BOY SAID MAMA!!!! Its in a previous post...GO LOOK IF YOU HAVEN"T!!!

Good Buddies!!!!

We went to see Auntie Dana and Uncle Jason and I got my picture taken with my new best buddy!!! Derek and I are going to be friends forever!!!

There's baby Derek....What a guy!!!!! He's such a good boy!!! We love him so very much!!!!

Derek's sleeping like a good little baby...He's only a week old and David's just hanging out being his usual awesome self!!!!

David's wearing the shirt that Big Papi and Grandma Les sent for him! Its the summertime and this shirt reminded me of being on a Hawaiian vacation!

David likes to play peek a boo...And when we do...He cracks up and giggles till he gets the hiccups!!!

Big posting day, David grabbed his feet for the first time today! Big stuff, but it gets bigger! Forgive me, but rolling over at two weeks, and now speaking his first word at nineteen weeks? Better yet, such luck to get them both on video? Can you say, "Wow!" He reaches a milestone and they all touch your heart, but this one will always be the most tender. Pardon the whining, but as Eric says, "the proof is in the puddin'"

Girls Night Out!!

Hallelujah! A small group of Moms needed girl/grown up time, so we ventured out together for $1 Baby Bellini cocktails and a not so late showing of the new hit Mama Mia! A roaring good time was had by all. Looks like it may become a monthly meeting. Look Out happy hour specials everywhere!

What a lazy day

We're just lounging around today, updating all of David's wardrobes, cleaning up a bit, and making the transition from level 1 to level 2 diapers. Just another lazy day around the Miles house! Enjoy!
