Family at the Dallas World Aquarium

Baby David, Grandpa David, Gigi, Mommy and Daddy went to the Dallas World Aquarium last week on the train ride and we got to take some pictures and video of the little man taking it all in. We had a great time and hope you enjoy the pictures. Baby David had a great time at the aquarium. Enjoy.

Choo Choo Train Ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Baby David is on his first train ride! He was super-very-well behaved and enjoyed his time on the trains! We had a couple of connections on our way to the Dallas World Aquarium, as well as our return trip to Fort Worth and back to the Irving Station.

We're in Fort Worth for the Parade and Stock Show

Today at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, we went to take in a couple of sights...We went to see the parade first. It was fun, but David was tired and slept through the majority of it. But all the adults had a good time. It was the longest "non-mechanized" parade in the world. Just horses, carriages, and a good time. Afterwards we went down to the historic Fort Worth Stockyards that have been around for over a hundred years. Obviously everyone knows that Fort Worth is the "Cattle Capital of Texas because of its involvement in the cattle drives. Its still mostly around for its historic value and "honky tonk" atmosphere. The stock yards have been moved further out from the area (because of the smell) which deters the tourists...But it was a great day had by all without a doubt. Enjoy the pictures and videos.

They always say that the south shall rise again....

Here is a reinactment of what a cattle drive used to be like going down the streets of fort worth back in the late 1800-early1900's. We also saw some pictures of what it was like in downtown...Dirt roads, livestock pens, and plenty of saloons to wet your whistle after a long day on the trail.

Check out these Vaqueros(Mexican Cowboys)....These talents have been passed down from generation to generation. In Texas History, the Vaquero holds a very important part of the early history of the state because of the large cattle industry.

Oh my goodness...After the parade we were all quite hungry...Gigi had a salad, Michelle had a cheeseburger and grandpa David and Eric had ALL YOU CAN EAT BEEF RIBS!!!!!!!! Baby David had a ritz cracker and some other finger foods. Awesome awesome lunch!!!!!

Life's a Beach!

Gigi brought a gift for baby David from his Aunt Julie and Uncle Jay...His first Elmo erasible sketch book! Its like an etch-a-sketch and you can erase...Really cool! We read and write every night!

We went to a place in Flower Mound that's called Life's a Beach and David was able to feel the sand for the first time...It was for mixed reviews...
