Grandma Les and Papi in the House!!!!!

Man...Big day after big day for baby David...
All the grandparents from Kansas were all in the same house today....Dana and Jason stopped by too. What a great day! We went and got what was called a PKU test today done on David and boy was he NOT happy. They stuck his heel and pressed and pressed...Goodness. He cried so loud that he made mommy upset and she had to leave the room. Daddy stayed with him and held his hand and rubbed his head and made sure that everything was going to be okay. Another test out of the way...There are only a few left, thank goodness. If there is anything you would like to see on here, just let us know. Love ya'll! See ya soon!

Guests dropped by today!

Michelle had her two week check up today, and the doctor said that everything is perfect! Her incision is healing very well, and the infections that Michelle had last week are close to disappearing! We took David to the doctors office and boy did they swoon over him! One lady even said that David was so cute, she wanted to "get knocked up" just so she could have one just as cute as him! OMG!!!!!

On a lighter note, we had family drop by today who were travelling through on their way home to Houston. You'll see another little man in these pictures and his name is Ethan Ray. He is so adorable, and I hope and pray that David turns out to be just like his cousin!!!! Thanks for stopping by ya"ll!!!!

Here's some pictures from today...Enjoy!!!!

Doctor Day #2!!!!

Today we went for David's two week check up, and here's the update:
Dr. Hodge saw David today and she immediately commented on his growth. Even though we are three weeks early, David is right on track with his growth! He's a little small weight wise, but size wise, he's in the 50th percentile. What does that all mean you ask...It means he's as normal as every kid out there! He's right on track! And is this boy healthy! Everything on him looks strong, and healthy and he's doing very well! Here are a couple of stats that we got today you might like to know:
Length - 19 3/4 - Growth from birthday - 1 inch
weight - 6 lbs 15 oz. - Growth from birthday - 7 ozs.

What a good boy! He is now eating 3 1/2 ozs at a setting and what great news that Michelle's milk has definately come in and she is now producing 2 to 2.5 ozs at this juncture....Which has increased rapidly to accomodate our little stinkweed.....Michelle had to "pump and dump" because of an antibiotic that she was taking. The doctor today gave Michelle the clear to return to feeding David breastmilk, and man did he enjoy it! He destroyed the bottle of breastmilk and continued by taking another once and a half of formula! He's his father son! He enjoys a good meal! David turns two weeks old tomorrow and Mommy and Daddy can't believe its already been that long that he's been around. He's doing so well and everyone is so proud of him. FYI...is it weird to celebrate your son's 1 month birthday? Daddy wants to, but how do you throw a "birth-month-day" party for a child who can't really see yet and who's food intake consists of milk? Any ideas out there?
On a sidenote, Sarah and Brad....you're kids are amazing. Jacob is so intelligent and sporty, and Emma and Isabel are just the cutest two little girls on the planet, and they are growing up so fast. You are very blessed, and we love being a part of it. We read your blog indepth tonight and giggled till we cried when Isabel was grooving to some William Tell. Also, thanks for refering us to Dr. Hodge. She's very good, we really like her.

Enjoy!!!!!

Baby David's Going Home!!!!

This day meant a lot to us. Even though David was born 3 weeks early, we were able to leave the hospital last Saturday and we couldn't have been more proud of him! He's so strong, and we are so lucky to have such a wonderful little boy. He's going to be amazing! Hit the play button and...Enjoy!

Back Home!!!

Thank goodness. Its Sunday, a day ahead of schedule, and we are back home. I want to thank Margie and Mary for staying with us and helping us with David, and just making our lives as easy as possible. So now we're just relaxing and taking it easy and doing what the doctor says. We're so excited to be back home. Michelle especially, because she won't have doctors poking and proding her for a while. Granted, they helped and made Michelle better and for that we're grateful, but after a while, you just are so ready to leave. Man, we saw every doctor in that place. Michelle had a good birthday this year. Everyone who brought a gift for Michelle or called her while she was in the hospital, we thank you so very very much. You're the ones that keep her going when she was stuck in the hospital bed. Its awesome to have people like you!
We love ya'll! We'll see ya soon! DEM

Hi Everyone! Well.......I hate to say...But my loving wife is back in the hospital with some trouble. She has had some ear infections that are due to her over-usage of her hearing aides. She must take them out every day in order for them to dry out. With our new son, it was hard for her to do so, because she had to be on high alert when daddy's not around. And her poor ears never got a chance to dry out. And with that, so goes the infection. Also, she has a few other things going on....but with the help of antibiotics and a few of special ingredients....She be back on her feet in no time. The doctor said our estimated time of departure from the horse-pistol as my mother so likes to often say, is Monday I think at the earliest, which is fine by me because I"m officially on spring break and loving every minute of it! Michelle is getting better and all of your thoughts and prayers are being answered. We love ya'll! We'll see you soon!

Well....Its time once again.....For PICTURES OF DAVID!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE LOVE HIM!!!!! HE SO GOOD AND SWEET AND PERFECT AND SPECIAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is a few pictures to start off with, but I"m sure that there will be more passed around as we go. We love him so much and can't wait for everyone to meet him! Thanks also to everyone who came to see us at the hospital. Trinity Medical Center was our home for four days and it was an amazing place! The nurses took great care of us....Notice I said us....Because they cared to me as much as they did Michelle. Enjoy and we love ya'll!

WOWEEEE!!!!!

Today is March 3rd...2 days before the birth of David Edward, and yet...This blog is not about him at all! You would think...By looking at these pictures....That we lived in Minnesota or back in Kansas or Washington DC or in Denver Colorado or something. But we live in the south, people! We live in Texas....Lewisville, Texas. Where it may average one or two inches of snow all year long....But this is March...

Well just enjoy the pictures...We love ya'll and we'll see ya soon!

GO BABY DAVID EDWARD!!!!

This little boy is having none of it! I called for him and he turned and booked!

THIS IS TEXAS PEOPLE!!!!!

This a picture of our beautiful house in March and oh by the way, the temperature yesterday was 74 degrees! Who would have known! As I said. This is Texas...Two days before David is to be born. (FYI we blame this on Grandmama Miles because she brought it with her from Kansas...were kidding!!!)
